Stories that spark imagination, celebrate creativity, and build confidence.
I didn’t begin with a plan to write children’s books.
I began with a question.
I began with a question.
After more than thirty years of working—always dependable, always busy, often fulfilled but never quite connected to something of my own—I found myself wondering what it might feel like to create something that truly mattered to me.
That question led me, unexpectedly, to art.
In my mid-50s, I began studying visual and digital illustration, working in watercolor, pastel, pencil, and beyond. What I discovered was not only a love of creating, but a sense of quiet joy I hadn’t known I was missing. The act of making something—slowly and thoughtfully—felt both grounding and expansive.
Around the same time, I was reading with my grandchildren.
Page by page, I found myself drawn back to the stories I had loved most—the gentle rhythm of Winnie-the-Pooh, the wonder of Alice in Wonderland, and the quiet charm of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. These were not just stories; they were worlds you could return to again and again.
I began to wonder what it would mean to create something that carried that same feeling—something timeless, yet fresh for today’s children.
Today, my work is centered on stories that offer children both comfort and possibility—stories where small moments matter, where imagination opens doors, and where courage often appears in quiet ways.
Whether easing bedtime worries, encouraging exploration, or helping a child feel just a little braver, each book is created with care, intention, and heart.
I hold a degree from the University of California, Los Angeles with a background in psychology and business, and I am certified in digital arts. I am also a proud member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and remain committed to continually growing my craft within the children’s publishing community.
I live in New York with my family, two delightfully opinionated pigs, a cat, and a devoted pup who carefully supervises every illustration. I continue to create stories and art that celebrate imagination, creativity, and confidence—because I believe stories don’t just shape how we think, but how we feel.
Let’s create something meaningful together.
